I wish more than anything that I could change this feeling in people throughout fandom. It's really prevalent, this notion that because someone's not a vidder or knows the lingo or how they're made, that their comments are lame or worthless. I guess I feel a big essay coming on. ;-) Because the truth is, for anyone producing some kind of art -- vids, fic, pictures, icons, anything -- hearing that you've connected with someone, that they enjoyed your work, is often a huge bonus. We rarely get to hear anything, so even the "lamest" sounding feedback is a treat, but what you've said here, believe me, it's not lame! And it's so not superficial. You *got* all that stuff in Santa Monica, and you definitely got the message in 6 Underground, and believe me, knowing the process isn't imperative to that -- as a non-vidder audience, in fact, your response is even more meaningful because then we know we can connect with people who don't know the bakground stuff.

I know I appreciate it deeply, and other vidders I know do too.
