I have always disliked the mean-girl fannish tendencies to call anything that's said about fandom "wank." it's bizarre to me to categorize anyone's unhappiness with wank--it doesn't matter if it's some small personal thing or a big brouhaha, the shitballs categorize it as wank and slap it up on fanlore or the old fandom wank site or now ffa. I'm just never gonna get it, why people are so shitty, and why they can't see or understand the difference between giant kerfuffles and personal issues that people have a right to talk about without finding themselves turned into the butt of wank derision.

ETA: Which is to say yes, I'm not happy with all this being handed down from certain quarters either.
