Seconding that you can always go to the safety. Even if you aren't familiar with it sometimes it works out. The first year I did festivids I picked up a pinch hit and realized an hour later that the fandom was one I just. couldn't. do. in the time frame. I downloaded their safety movie to watch even though I'd never heard of it....and to this day it remains one of my favorite vidding experiences (AXE TO THE HEAD).
