(I swear to god if I hear one more smug asshole transplant from some other part of the country go on about how stupid Seattleites are in snow I will cut a bitch; you cannot drive in half a foot of snow and ice up 16% grade hills and over frozen bridges, you dumbass hillbillies, and you should just go back where you came from)
Thing of it is, Seattle gets snow, but it doesn't regularly get SNOW-My-GAWD! So on top of the fact of all the hills and bridges in a major metropolis (not a pop. 10k town in the hills and hollers), it self an issue, driving in the SNOW takes knowhow, and your city doesn't have the plans and amount of equipment that Chicago, NYC, Minneapolis, have to deal with SNOW. And that makes a huge difference
(About 3 years ago Las Vegas south of Tropicana shut down when the southern part of the valley got SNOW [up to 2 feet at the very edges] because the both the snowplows that the county owns were about 60 miles away at Mt Charleston. Yeah, like 2 snowplows would've been enough.)
