Hope you feel better soon. My mom had a cat bite go infected and they have to ramp it up on the types of antibiotics for quite awhile. They did take the trouble to give her pro-biotic doses to replace what gets killed off by the antibiotics in the gut etc., and we also dosed her up on cheeses and yoghurts, which I think also helped.
