It takes a village for Aragorn

[livejournal.com profile] malisita has an adorable little idea that Return of the King is basically just Queer Eye for the Middle-Earth Guy. Very, very funny, and the first laugh I've had in a really long time.

A lot of my friends thought I was going to have an attack over the first movie, because of my well-documented loathing of lank, dirty hair (much as I liked, for instance, Ravenous, the hair just about did me in, rather than the cannibalism). But Sean and Viggo transcended the lank, dirty hair problem and it works beautifully on both of them, so I was able to deal. But I can just imagine the horror of Kyan if he saw their hair and unshaven faces, not to mention their callused hands from all the sword-fighting and archery.

Thank god Aragorn cleans up so nice!

ETA: Since I'm graphically challenged and can't make icons, would anyone be willing to make me one for that? Aragorn from the Return of the King poster, all gorgeous in kingly red, with a caption of "He cleans up nice"? I will adore you forever.

On the Return of the King poster, where he's on horseback and wearing red under the armor. I guess scraggly might be an eye of the beholder thing -- I thought he seemed rather... scrummy. He's still a bit scruffy, but hey, no shower, no rest, big battle, no mirror and shaving kit... I figure I have to change my standards. ;-)
