True Blood

I don't know when True Blood turned from a cheesy, tacky but pleasantly diverting TV series for me to the edge of my seat tension-fest that it is now (every single cliffhanger episode is killing me, I tell you!), but it sure has gone from "okay, I'll watch it if you want to" to must-see TV every week. If anyone knows spoilers for the rest of the season, please do tell me!! I can't stand the tension of watching shows live when I don't have a sense of what might happen. (srsly, I love spoilers -- gwynethr at gmail)

I adore practically everyone (and hate the ones we're supposed to hate, in that fun "I want them to die a horrible death" way), but I have developed a strange love for Jessica that I never would have seen coming before. But mostly what I find myself thinking the past couple weeks is that I wish Eric's crew at Fangtasia would get involved with the sitch in Bon Temps. Because Pam throwing down on Maryann? That is truly the stuff dreams are made of. I've never ever had a crazy fannish wish come true for a TV series as it's airing, but if this one came true, I would die happy.

Hee! I really like it too. It's really gotten exciting! I can't wait for tonight's episode.

I only get to see TB on Friday the week after it airs, so I always feel so tense through the week, waiting to see what happens after the cliffhangers. It's nail biting!

Jessica! and HOYT! I even loved Jason last week, and I am ambivalent about Jason at best.

Now I want a Pam throwdown. Damn.

Jessica and Hoyt are KILLING me! OMG I want those two crazy kids to make it!

There just isn't enough Pam, if you ask me. THough I did love Eric's "those were good pumps" line. ;-)

Between you and a few other people I'm not interested in checking this out. Usually I stay away form the vampire series but...

You know, I am the least vampire loving person I know. I'm so tired of the whole genre, the poor vampire who hates being one, in love with a human girl, blah blah blah. It's tiresome in the extreme. But two of my favorite shows lately are vampire-centric: Being Human and True Blood. I guess it shows that there's still... uh... life in the stories yet. TB is just so gothically over the top and gleefully ridiculous, and it's sexy and funny and just... it has a lot of excellent people behind it, and I think that really makes a huge difference.

TB is AWESOME. It definitely feels like s2 was a big step up from s1. And I'm loving Godric/Eric like there's no tomorrow.

OMG I would love to see Pam throwing down on Maryann!!!!

They have turned this into a major watercooler show, you know?

Wouldn't Pam and Maryann make for the most awesome fight? Pam could outsnark Maryann any day, and would never stand for her shit.

Godric was just fucking amazing. I am so sorry we didn't get much time with him, but wow, what time. The final scenes with Eric just broke my heart in a thousand little pieces.

I watched Season 1 on DVD and I SO regret not getting HBO to see Season 2. I will tap my foot with impatience for Season 2 to come out on DVD.

My one huge complaint with HBO has always been how long they take to release discs. And now the trend is to only release discs a week ahead of when a show airs its next season. I object strenuously to this! All the cable networks are doing it too, and it makes things a lot harder for vidders, I'll tell you. ;-)

I know this sounds shallow, but I'm so glad that they cut Eric's hair. Talk about a Norse god! Hubbada!

You know, at first I thought I might not like it when they cut his hair, but the instant he was standing there smirking at Bill, I was so happy. He looks ten times sexier (more like Brad in GenKill).
