Summary: Bethany and Martha, after Jumanji.
This is a really charming post-movie story of Bethany and Martha discovering a new relationship.

I finished writing my Stucky AU Big Bang! I wasn't sure I could squeak it out, but I did, though my god my hands hurt. I know no one will want to read 45k of Desk Set AU--how I managed to get that many words out of what's essentially a rom-com is beyond me, but I guess that's what happens when you add in lots of stuff about canon history and PTSD for soldiers and 1950s politics and social commentary.

Dunno! I've read next to nothing for years. I went back through my archive and pinboard a week or so ago to see just when it was that I dropped so hard out of fandom, especially with the way I've been feeling so much more fannish the past few weeks. Turns out it was spring 2014 - which is also right around when Winter Soldier came out. That was when my dad tipped over into needing assisted living, and apparently I just went into total caretaker (or at least legal-guardian-ish) mode, where I stayed for ages. It's so weirdly stereotypical, but basically exactly a year after he died, suddenly things lifted and I was all hey, people! fandom! posting!
I watched all the MCU stuff, but missed MCU fandom almost entirely for that whole time. So I've no idea what I like to read! And god knows if I'll be able to actually pick up on the fandom this many years in, but at least my brain feels like it can cope with reading something. :D
I think Sharon's a great call for Mike, since someone really has to be Mike. You're right, that's a totally valid reason for her to keep deflecting, and it makes for a way more sympathetic character.
Anyway. tl;dr I have no idea if I'll like it, but I'm looking forward to giving it a shot!

I, for one, am looking forward to reading it.
