Wanna be a criminal with you [Raffles rec]

Eeee! aurumcalendula made a vid for the 1970s TV show based on the insanely slashy Raffles books (which were written by Arthur Conan Doyle's brother in law). The song choice is beyond perfect for a show about a master cracksman and thief and his worshipping acolyte. I recently watched the series with Rose Lerner, and her tweets about it prompted aurumcalendula to watch it, and now w00t! we have a vid!! OMG Bunny's face, especially on the making out lines :-D (If you're a Holmes fan, I think you'd love Raffles, if you haven't ever read the stories or seen the show.) One of the best parts of the show was seeing all the '70-era British actors who later showed up on The Professionals.

Is that streaming anywhere? I keep finding the David Niven movie version, which looks considerably less gay.

I ended up watching it here. It doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere official (in the US anyway) for some reason.

I really loved it, and I really loved the books, and I didn't even know there'd BEEN a show at all and I have spent the past few days since you posted the vid trying to find the show and couldn't, so now I will have a lot to watch. We watched it on Youtube, someone had put up the dvds there, but I suppose it's possible it's been taken down by now... There was a dvd release but I doubt it's one that shows up everywhere, seeing how obscure it is.
