You know, I suppose the silver lining of not many people reading your fic is that when you find that line you wrote on the back of a receipt or a scrap of notebook paper in your pocket after you've posted, you can keep working on it.

I'm reading the story you finished posting last night. Just saying. Literally just started though. Give me a day or two and I'll ping you.

Oh I mean, this is in general. I never seem able to stop working on stories because I can't fucking find all the notes I've left myself. The advantage of small readership is that you can noodle until the cows come home and no one will know! I mean, it's depressing, but it's also kind of a stealth advantage because then you catch all your typos too.

Dude, this might sound SUPER creepy, but I was even happier to have this story after today because I heard a lot of CW spoilers and got those fucking weirdo emails from my dad, and I just might have been clutching at it like a kid with her Bucky Bear, hand to fucking God. It meant a lot to me on a really crappy day.

Well, I'm glad that you had it to clutch. This is something I do in general, though--I never seem able to stop working on things because I'm always remembering the line I forgot to put in or the whole section that was supposed to go there. I even fixed a section that someone pointed out a logic flaw in for a story I wrote in Nov. 2014!

Also I meant to say that it is not creepy or weird, or if it is, I like it. :-D Most of the comments have been really short lines, and while it's lovely to get any comment at all, I have had no sense of what works or doesn't, or if any of the humor lines worked or the emotional stuff succeeded--and your comments here have been pretty much the only feedback I've had in that regard. So I really really value it and it helps me figure out things to do more of or do less in the future. So thank you.
