New vid: Prison Break

I made this vid for the Escapade vid show this year; it will be premiering there at a show, but I just don't want to sit on it anymore. I'm too happy with it! It's been a long time since I've been this giddily happy with a vid I made. This is a slightly modified version of what I sent to the con; it's not substantially different but this one will be tweaked a bit compared to that version. I really don't like the streaming version so I'm not going to embed it here, but I will provide a link -- I just think the DL is a lot cleaner and better looking.

Running Up That Hill
Fandom: Prison Break, Michael/Mahone
Artist: Placebo
File: Divx avi, 45MB
Obsession and wall porn.
Streaming: http://www.viddler.com/explore/gwyn/videos/14/

I don't normally warn on a vid, but Prison Break does use a lot of white flashing edits/blown out color flash edits, and I've also mimicked that style in some spots. I don't think it's that bad on a web file, but there you are.

Feedback or recs of any kind is always welcome. I might write some notes about this later just because I had so much fun making it.

Oh, thank you so much!!! I can't tell you how great it is to hear that you enjoyed it, since your stories and posts about the show and conversations with SDWolfpup were so very inspirational to me. The thing that constantly gets to me is how equal they are -- and how that shifts and morphs over the course of the show, changing who they are to each other while never lessening. It's so, so intense. And yeah, Placebo's version of this song seems like it was made for this fandom.

Hee! It's hilarious how large and small fandom can be, but it's awesome that conversations taht were, let's be honest, as crack-fueled as the canonical storylines was inspiring to someone.

It is. Especially when the show spent pretty much the whole of S1 setting Michael apart from everyone. He was the brilliant lynchpin of the group, the one who seemed more trapped inside his own head than imprisoned by physical bars. And then, boom, S2 and he has an equal who's continually shown to not just be "as smart as" but who *thinks* like Michael, who follows the logic easily.

And, please, even when they're surrounded by the rest of the cast, there's an electricity between them and their reactions to each other. It's wonderful.
