I don't suppose anyone out there has an avi of the Mad Men season 2 finale, ep #13? anoel kindly pointed me toward a rar file, but I not only do not know what a rar file is, I have no idea what to do with it, and I don't really feel like pushing my bad luck any further, since I'm already working with avi files that I have no idea if they will come out okay.

I am really not good at this aspect ratio thing, or this file type thing, or this vidding all electronically thing. Basically, I am not good at anything vid-related.

I reeeeeeally need a clip from the 13th ep. But I have only 1-12.

.rar files are like .zip files. It's probably an .avi file once you un-rar it. I'm pretty sure StuffIt can handle it for you.

Ah, I see. I have seen that extension before but no explanation of what kind of file it is.

Get unrarx: http://www.unrarx.com/

Download the .rar files.

Open unrarx.

Drag the folders containing the .rar files into the main unrarx window.

unrarx will build a single .avi out of the .rar files.

Oh, that is very helpful. I've never DLed the rar files I saw before because I had no idea what they were -- I figured they were some Windows only thing or whatever. I've gone and DLed this app for future.

When I gave you the files I gave you two discs -- ep thirteen is on the second disc (I think with the FaF movie and/or something else, but by itself). If you can't find it, I can drop it by tomorrow.
