Sister, can you spare a dime?

If some of you read [personal profile] copperbadge's Radio Free Monday posts, you might have seen this already, but for those of you who haven't: the animal rescue group I'm involved with has a darling little Pom guy who needs some pretty sad major surgery, and they're trying to raise money for him over on ChipIn. His name is Vlad(!), and if you have a buck or two to spare, every little bit helps. Look at how cute he is!

I realize I never mentioned my last foster dog here, because she was here and gone so fast. The group had a lot of adoptions this summer, averaging almost four a week, sometimes more, but they had intake of just as many. It's so wonderful to see neglected animals go to a home and people that will love them.

Oh my god. That might actually be the cutest dog I've ever seen.

ETA: Is it okay to hotlink to this picture? I want to repost this and spread the word.

He is pretty freakin' cute, isn't he? I admit, I'm... thinking about... adopting him. I don't know if it's a good idea considering my amputation issues, but I do think about it. And yes, hotlinking is good!

eeee, if you adopt him, then I could cuddle him!!

Such a cutie! I'll share the information on the dog alias at work if no one has yet.

Oh, and if you know anyone looking for a foster dog, we're a few houses short for October's load. (I, umm, am getting a second rather than fostering. Cough.)

That would be great! We're not very far with the money we need, so every bit would help.

Do people need to be trained in retired greyhounds to be a foster? I've wondered about that. I might be getting a little boston soon, but I can ask the owner of the rescue group if she knows of some fosters open to them.

Nope! One of our current fosters hadn't even had a dog before as an adult. You can put her in touch with me (mohmlet@gmail.com) if she knows people who'd be interested.

(And I'll go do some Vlad mentioning. I donated!)
