Sister, can you spare a dime?

If some of you read
copperbadge's Radio Free Monday posts, you might have seen this already, but for those of you who haven't: the animal rescue group I'm involved with has a darling little Pom guy who needs some pretty sad major surgery, and they're trying to raise money for him over on ChipIn. His name is Vlad(!), and if you have a buck or two to spare, every little bit helps. Look at how cute he is!

I realize I never mentioned my last foster dog here, because she was here and gone so fast. The group had a lot of adoptions this summer, averaging almost four a week, sometimes more, but they had intake of just as many. It's so wonderful to see neglected animals go to a home and people that will love them.

Date: 2011-09-27 09:22 pm (UTC)Do people need to be trained in retired greyhounds to be a foster? I've wondered about that. I might be getting a little boston soon, but I can ask the owner of the rescue group if she knows of some fosters open to them.
