I had this idea I would write a sterling review of The Two Towers, especially from a not quite a book fan, but almost a fan perspective (not a big lover of the books, but I admire the storytelling; what I am a fan of is Mr. Genius Peter Jackson -- Heavenly Creatures is one of the most brilliant movies ever made, Viggo (aka Hottest Man in the 'verse), and, well, pretty much every freaking actor in this movie, not to mention the horsey Shadowfax, who, to steal a line from Dorinda, I would marry if it wasn't illegal). I miss writing really meaty movie reviews. But I'm still mentally reeling from all I tried to take in, and put it in perspective, and figure out what I think of each bit, and why I think that.

Plus, I had the most excrutiating headache all day, and for a little while I found my attention meandering, until I was snapped back by Aragorn putting on his armor. If that man were any hotter, the screen would melt or he'd implode, I'm certain. The headache is now gone, but it left me feeling like I can't do justice to the ins and outs of the film until I see it again, and all the Cinerama showings are sold out until after Christmas (go somewhere else? Hah! 70MM curved screen, single theatre so no sound bleedthrough, good popcorn, completely redesigned and state of the art sound... as if I'd go anywhere else!). So.. all I can say is that I loved it, really loved it, but felt differently about it than I did at Fellowship. They really are different in every possible way, and that's a good thing, I believe. It just means I have to set aside my adoration of Fellowship, and get my mind into this one. Sometime soon, I hope!

Plus, I get to upload the nifty graphic I picked up, done by [livejournal.com profile] bonibaru. We, the graphically challenged, salute you.
