(In the Epic Haircut Story I meant to finish today, but I got distracted by uh reading fic instead ((someone recommended a "h/c injured Steve" story and it turned out to be my introduction to the "Hydra trash party" genre, only I didn't really know what the hell that was, and apparently it was a MILD example of same and I was still like WTFFF)) ((ANYWAY)).....oh yeah, I want to show Sam getting a little something from the Steve/Bucky dynamic he's in, too, not just being emotional janitor or whatever.)
But I do love it when he calls Steve on things, and cares for him, and listens to him and gives him wisdom in friendship. And for Bucky too. I'm hopeful that that's one thing from the comics that will come through in the future.
I REALLY like the idea of Sam and Bucky being friends. I imagine before the whole nuclear winterization thing Bucky was a bit more easygoing and laid-back than Steve -- Steve is intense and that's why we love him -- and probably ribbed Steve a lot, like Sam does, so I love the idea of Sam and Bucky sort of affectionately rolling their eyes and going, Oh, here goes Captain America again. But nicely.
