*sniffle*.

God, that was beautiful. Now I'm melty over the guys all over again. I'd had a few hours to come off the high, but it's back.

Showtime needs to pick "MDs" up and make it their Sunday night lead-in to "Queer As Folk." That way Fichtner and Hannah can give into their characters' true feelings.

They are so cute together that it actually HURTS me. I mean, I just ache for them! I want them to kiss and hold each other. Because, while Dalgety has impish intensity and his darling "Keller" has hangdog sadness...they TRADE off. They are each other's strengths. They balance each other out.

Oh, God, I'm going to start quoting "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion or "Funeral Blues" by W.H. Auden any second now.

While, yes, overall the show has the same grandstanding badly written drama that plagued "Chicago Hope", it's a trait that I've *expected* from medical shows. And the great thing about "MDs" is that they KNOW it. The episode where somebody was shooting a t.v. show in Mish proves that. Why else would they bring in some gorgeously chesty theme park person to run the hospital? Why else would they be tossing blood and guts around like the Swedish chef going "Bork! Bork! Bork!"? Why else would their two leads be so unequivocally-don't-even-try-and-fool-us in LOVE?

Rather than see "MDs" as just a crappy show...it almost comes completely full circle into the land of farce, of satire.
