It's official
Mar. 4th, 2003 02:20 pmWell, I am now officially old. I had to go out at lunch to buy reading glasses. I mean... feh! Reading glasses! How demoralizing.
But I can't see anything when I wear my contacts anymore, the new office space has really wrecked them and they're blurry and impossible to see with by the end of the day. Even in the morning, I can't read the small-print PDF proofs or the measure lines on the pica rulers -- never mind the legalese on documents in 5-1/2 pt. type. So it's become a necessity somehow.
A necessity that makes me freaking old. I can't wear my glasses all day because they give me headaches, but I can't see with my contacts, so I'm doomed either way. And next they'll make me get bifocals on my glasses.
Might as well get out the shawl and the cane.
