Making the bad really better

maygra and thisisbone have both put up a new co-written The Fast and the Furious piece called The Debt You Owe at their respective LJs. They managed to take a style I hate in fanfic -- first person present tense, with alternating first person narrations -- and make it work for me in a big way. Believe me when I say this is a monumental achievement. All the things that are usually missing in this style are here -- details, character, sensations. And it also has hot, rough sex, so... kind of hard to argue with that. ;-)

They definitely made a bad 24 hours waaayyy better.
