Skanky is as skanky does
Apr. 9th, 2008 10:41 pmThese two articles made me laugh my ass off. I suppose the first one is the anti-female characters who are awesome meme.

And for the men, I couldn't agree more. And there are many people the list doesn't include.

I had a scary little day today with the Blues man. I finally remembered to take him in for his kitten checkup and the vet said that his inflamed gums (he does have massive gingivitis, but it doesn't seem to hurt him or anything) are a sign of feline leukemia virus. I couldn't remember whether he'd been tested or not and had forgotten the paperwork, so they tested him, and fortunately he's free of the virus. Now I need to take him back for the vaccine. I lost two cats from the virus years ago, as they had contracted it just - literally - weeks before the vaccine became available, and it was awful. He's such a sweet, loving little boy that I really didn't want him to be sick.
Unfortunately, Olive still hates him. Some days, I just sit here and try to pretend they're not running around the house, snarling, yowling, fighting, hissing, etc. Well, Olive is doing all that, Blues is just pestering her. He doesn't seem to get that if he would just stop whacking her, it would help. He's such a boy. The Feliway atomizer thingie isn't helping. Not much seems to help. Though Ollie, to her credit, came up to him when he got back from the vet and sniffed him very carefully, acting very concerned and I could tell she wanted to lick him -- I think that if she could stop hating him, she would Mom him to death. Sigh. Cats.
