That's a whole lotta history
Mar. 14th, 2013 01:54 pmThis year, I'm going to Vidukon, the UK-based convention for vidders, which I'm terrifically excited about. Still trying to get my plans nailed down, but I'm both terrified and thrilled to be going back to the UK.
They just announced they're adding a vid show on Friday night that's basically a vidder's choice. We can send any damn vid we want to -- and since I've been vidding for just about 20 years, that's a whole lotta choice to choose from. I can't even imagine what to pick -- a personal favorite that never got much love? A favorite of other people? Something I'm known for, or one that slipped under everyone's radar? Something that says something about me as a vidder? Or one I collaborated on with someone else?
Arg!
Help me pick a vid. You can see all the vids I've uploaded to my vids site here. That at least lists almost all the digital vids I have up. But that doesn't include the ones I did with Media Cannibals, only three of which I've remastered, nor does it include some of the ones I did for the first Don't Fight in the Snow disc. Those are listed here on the DVDs page, under the first disc at the top, and on a page which I confess I never update anymore. Most of those are from tapes, but I suppose I might be able to rush a digital remaster of one if people said I should send that.
Really, I just have no idea.
In other news, I went to the doc today for my annual checkup. She told me I really need to rest more and see if this bronchitis and cough ease up -- either that, or I end up in the Seattle pneumonia club, which I do not aspire to join. I told her I'd been going to my workouts because I'd been off for too long, and she looked at me like 0.o and shook her head. But we're going to try some meds out related to the menopause issues I'm having, and had a good discussion about my risk vs. benefit issues. OTOH, I really, really hate having mammograms. It makes me surly and angry and resentful, which I always end up taking out on the technicians. I hate that when I do that.
