I should probably not inflict these things on people, but I seem to write so sporadically and spread out that I guess it's like the fic version of Halloween candy -- bite size versions that are cheap and easy to throw away. I had my writing group this morning, and I love doing the timed exercises, because it's so different from how I normally write, and every once in a while I seem to come up with something the group really likes, like this one. For this we had less than ten minutes to use four words: bustier, devilish, candy, and mist (we start the morning with weird conversations, what can I say?), and even though I know most of you will fill in the pronouns with the same names I did, it's open to your own fill in the blanks. ;-)
She felt devilish in sexy underwear, a wicked temptress, luring her man to a life of sin and degradation with nothing more than a flick of her garters and a tug on her bustier. Wicked or sexy were not familiar instincts, but strangers from a part of her psyche she'd never been introduced to, called up from the mists of those old dark fears of letting go. That never came easy, but the way to sin was made clearer when she saw him drooling for it, this altered persona in silks and satins, offering herself up like Halloween candy to his grabbing hands. All it took was flimsy straps and a few shimmy-shakes, and there he was, begging for her, for someone she didn't even know but that he'd been waiting for all his life. Devil or angel? She knew which version of herself he would pick. And it didn't matter that that flavor didn't exist inside herself; it materialized only through the magic of fabrics and suggestion, ephemeral layers that, once shed, carried the devil away too. The empty wrappers were enough; they speak of satisfaction.
So, just out of curiosity, what do people call things this short? Is this the drabble thing? Or does stuff like this even have a name (other than waste of time, just to beat the wags to the punchline)?

Despite breaking the 100-word limit, this might be classified as a drabble, yes. A ficlet would be a bit longer, I guess, more of a story and less of a glimpse. This one was lovely, in any case.
