I wrote a lengthy response to tell you that this is indeed wonderful feedback and you shouldn't say you don't know how, then LJ ate it. But really, that is so much more than most of what we get (which is usually just "nice use of vid clips") when we're lucky enough to get anything! (And people never seem to believe me when I tell them I'm open to concrit, as well)

I think that people just really have never had the chance to develop a vocabulary for visual things unless they're artists, or have gone through visual fields such as film studies, etc. So believe me, commenting on the colors and the contrasts of the inside and outside world -- that's good feedback!
