My friend Jay sent me this link that I think a lot of others on my flist might enjoy. I dont' think I can stand waiting until mid-December for Brokeback Mountain. We don't get it here in Seattle for a while after the big cities that actually count. Sigh. And I really need to see Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

A while ago, someone on my flist offered some Brokeback icons with text, using the tagline "Love Is a Force of Nature." I thought it was killa, but I can't seem to find them there. Does anyone remember who offered them up?

This week's EW listed Brokeback Mountain (I almost abbreviated as BM and then thought...no) as having an advanced screening here, as well as the other Big Cities. (Hm, wonder if we should put in a word with Stephanie to keep an ear to the ground for passes for us.)

I think True Enough has them?

Oh, thanks for jogging my brain -- I will enter my name for the passes, though I hardly ever win anything. Yes, please ask Stephanie, and if you only get one for two just don't tell me when you shun me and go by yourselves.

I have seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang twice in the last week, and I love it more than words can express. It is not, however, a film suited for everyone's taste, so your mileage may vary.

Ooh, thanks for the link. I've got an in-progress list of gay films here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/wesleysgirl/372857.html) if it would be of use to anyone.

Nope, doesn't look like it. At least, not the one I'm thinking of. Arg. I may never find it now.

I'm pretty sure I'll like it. Hell, I just enjoyed Downey and Kilmer riffing off each other like an old married couple when they were on Sunday Morning Shootout back at Cannes, I wouldn't care what they did!

From what I know of your taste in films, it will probably be up your alley. :) I just feel like when I'm burbling about it I should always explain that my love for it is disproportionate to its objective quality.
