No, really! Help!

I should know better than to post on weekends. Or maybe it's just that no one really loves me. Sniff. I asked for clip help for a Buffy and Angel all-cast vid, but only three people responded and either no one saw it or no one wants to help me or no one likes me or everyone's forgotten all their stored up Buffy and Angel clips too. Or and stuff! All the times I've responded to people's pleas for clip help, but I can't get help when I ask?

Okay, seriously, I really do need help. I have a LOT of repeating lines to fill, and already scanning through just first and second season Buffy is getting hard to avoid repetition of the same characters doing the same things. And I still have 5 more of Buffy and 5 seasons of Angel to go! ::cries again::

So I'm reposting my plea for help -- when you're bored at work, take a trip down memory lane and see if you can recall anything that fits these: I will love you forever, and also, it will help me make the vid, and it will light and fun and cute. But only with your help! Otherwise it will be left to my own lame devices. And then it will suck!!!!!11!!OMG

- Any clips where guys are in danger from women, preferably if the women are supernatural (along the lines of Xander and the preying mantis teacher/ inca mummy girl/Drusilla in BB& B). Bonus points if the women aren't just kicking their asses, but about to eat/torture/kill in some elaborate way, and if the clips seem visually funny, that's great (like the way Xander panics in BB&B). I don't want to use anything that's painful or sad, like Gunn killing his sister -- this is for a lighthearted vid.

- Clips where guys are reacting in a shocked -- shocked! -- or scared way. Facial reactions are often the hardest to scan for when you're looking for clips, and 7 and 5 seasons' worth of scanning for looks of surprise or horror are hard! The funnier the better -- early Wes is obviously going to be a good resource, as is Xander. (I need a LOT of these, so feel free to suggest like mad.)

- Clips where anyone's kind of skulking around or using funny physical motions (a la Spike's mugging for the cameras in Restless)

More specific:

-something/someone that would work for "Jekyll" and a different one for "Hyde"

- Some kind of "zapping" kiss -- stunning or knockout or something a long those lines

- A guy shouting loudly, or longly

Okay, not sure if these will help, but they're all I've got:

A guy in danger from a girl: From Angel. Pregnant Darla in the bar, and she kills the guy who tries to pick her up.

A guy reacting in a shocked way: From Buffy. It's not one of the main cast, just a nobody, but I remember a scene in a bar when this nobody claims to have "defeated" the slayer, and he has to explain himself to this biker gang. It must be the season opener in which Buffy comes back to life, and this chump really met the Buffybot. The biker gang runs off to wreak havoc in Sunnydale.

The only one I could think of when you last posted was the zapping kiss, but that was only because someone mentioned Gwen in the comments - the kiss in the elevator when she gets Angel's heart pumping again sounds like what you're looking for, but I don't know if it's what you want.

The reason I'm commenting is the guy shouting. Spike in Beneath You after he spears the worm monster. He screams rather emphatically in Buffy's face if I remember correctly.

The one that immediately springs to mind for Jekyll/Hyde is Oz, especially the episode when he comes back and Willow is with Tara.

I'm very bad with this stuff. Hope you get some better responses from people who are more into vids.

Yes, Gwen and Angel is a good one. Trust me, you don't have to be a vidder or vid watcher to suggest clips! Any scenes you remember that fall into any category are really helpful. The more of a database I have to work from, the easier it is to figure out what fits best -- that's the vid part, the rest is just kin dof like "hey, remember that scene where so and so did such and such?"

There is that one episode from season four where we have the Gentlemen. Buffy nearly stakes riley and there are stunned expressions.

All of the stuff with Vamp Harmony. The one where she and Xander have the slap fight. The one from season 5 where she nearly shoots the brain surgeon in the head. I think Xander has a few good shocked reactions to her in that one.

Giles/Anya at the end of the Wish - season two. There is a lot of intercutting with that scene (I used the other half of it once.) I think you might lose about three frames in the middle of it with a crsosfade but the rest is all there.

All of the stuff with Glory and her minions. Harmony and her minions are pretty cute but, not necessarily life threatening.

The one thing that occurs to me is for Jeckyll and Hyde, using Puppet!Angel and Vampface!Angel. I've tried to think of other ones, but I suck at remembering scenes unless they're from Homicide....

Guys in danger from supernatural women: How about "The Wish", when Vamp!Willow tortures Angel? Also "Buffy vs. Dracula", where the vampire women menace Giles. Might be kinda dark, but probably still worth it for the humor value. Oh, and Buffy kicking Warren's ass, and Andrew and Jonathan cowering from Darth Rosenberg.

Men in danger from women: Faith, faith and more faith. She threatens Xander, Wesely, Angel (to some extent) and random men -- punches people on the dance floor, injures that one lawyer (Lee?), beats up the guy at the bus depot. YMMV about whether any of these are lighthearted enough.

Joyce threatens Spike with an axe.

Also, Gwen does kill (and then revive) Gunn at one point, and later zaps an entire room full of men during the robbery. (I still have every Gwen clip ever, I can try and send them to you if you want).

There's a literal Jekyll/Hyde thing in Beauty and the Beasts, but it was kinda lame.

I can picture Xander funny screaming at one point but can't recall where ... will ponder. Maybe in the Dracula episode?

My favorite funny screaming is from Tabula Rasa -- the group shot that got used in the credits.

Would the Xander screaming be from the clown in Nightmares, I think it was? That's a huge favorite, and even though it isn't in reaction to a woman, that might still work very well. I'd forgotten totally about it. And actually, that Beauty and Beasts thing isn't so lame -- that might actually work pretty well! Gracias!

Drusilla is good at scaring men. The guard running from her in the train she takes to Sunnydale for Crush and Dalton when she breaks his glasses. Didn’t the guy who wasn’t Xander look really scared in Teacher’s Pet? And the werewolf hunting guy when Buffy bends his gun in Phases. And Ethan Rayne in Band Candy when Giles wants Buffy to hit him again? Wes when the fat demon wants not to bargain in Bad Girls and Warren at the end of Villains and possibly also when the Robot and then Spike find him in “I was made to love you.” Would Xander’s snoopy dance count as stylised movement? Or Spike or Sweet in OMWF? I think Dawn had a zappy first kiss in All the Way from her reaction.

Ok. Here goes. Guys in danger from women:
You already mentioned Xander a lot, but hey, it's Xander. In season 7 he goes on a date with a girl that ends up chaining him up under the school. Buffy, Wood, & Spike come to the rescue. "First Date"?

Also, not necessarily danger, but Anya ruthlessly pursuing Xander in season 3 had some pretty funny facial expressions. Like at the prom.

funny physical motions: Xander doing the snoopy dance for Willow in "The Replacement". Actually, "The Zeppo" would probably be a good resource for funny facial expressions & motions when it comes to Xander. Him turning around to run away when the Hellmouth snake-thing punches through the wall comes to mind. Plus Faith throws him down on the bed, so--danger from women.

Also, Cordelia doing the "grr arg" hand motions for Angel in "City Of".

There's probably a ton of good exaggerated expressions & such in the Gentlemen episode, since they couldn't talk.

Funny motions: "Spin the Bottle!" Gunn doing kung-fu moves when they're all high, Wes threatening Gunn with karate & checking himself for swords & jumping up and down when Gunn beats him to the dramatic reveal, Fred copying Wes' karate moves to see if she has swords...oh there is so much in that episode.

Also, Angel & Wes dancing in "She". Any excuse to use that footage is good.

Girls beating up the Boys:
Once she shows up, Illyria is always beating up/tossing around the guys--usually Spike, though everyone gets a turn in "Power Play". There's also the crazy slayer attacking the boys in "Damage". I think she threw Spike out a window.

And I hate to mention one of my least favorite eps, but I think Ats S1 "She" might have something.

Oh, and Kate sticks a beam through Angel in the S1 ep with Penn. I remember that being played for laughs afterwards.

Fred shoots Angel in S4's "Magic Bullet". And Jasmine beats up Angel after he reveals her secret. (Doesn't she throw a car at him?)

Wow, once you start thinking about it, Angel sure gets beat up by girls alot...

For shock, maybe the scene in Pylea where they find out Cordy's the Princess? Or when they see Lorne's Vegas stageshow? Maybe when Fred's Mom ran over the bug? Cordy finding Lorne's head on a platter? There are lots of scenes where Angel looks scared of someone coming on to him--but that's probably too subtle to use out of context...

Funny motions: Not sure what you're really looking for here. Does Numfar count? How about Wesley's strip tease? Or Wesley pretending to be Angel? Wesley trying to impress Cordy's friends in "Expecting"? There's always Angel's crazy dance from "She", but you might also look at Angel undercover in the Hawaiian shirt in "City of" or as a tourist in "Sense /Sensitivity" or as the mobsterVamp in "Shroud". And there's all manner of weirdness in "Life of the Party", what with Gunn peeing on things and the creepy Archduke and friends.

Jeykll/Hyde: Again, depends what you're looking for. The first things that come to my mind are Fred/Illyria, batshitcrazy!Wes/watcher!Wes, Ben/Glory, Angel/Angelus, Jasmine/MaggotHead, ghost!Darla/vamp!Darla

Those are all off the top of my head, so--sorry if I'm totally off-base. I'm gonna go shut-up now. :) And Good Luck with your vid. Sounds like it'll be interesting.

No, no! These are fantastic, thank you! I remember even fewer clips from Angel's earlier seasons, too, so having a lot of refs from the series is great. The more I have to pick from, the happier a vidder I am!
