Your description sounds very much like gallstones, which can be off the chart painful. I've been seeing younger people going in for incredible pain for it, because both my sister and her partner have had issues with it--as in, recurring ER visit for agony issues. One had to have surgery, the other didn't, but both must be careful about fat content in their diets. The laparoscopy is far less invasive that anything most folkss think of as surgery, just as folks here have been saying; two scars maybe an inch long, that's it, and instant improvement in general overall health and well-being.
