Just got confirmed that the panel on Heterosexual Life Partners I wanted to do is set for Sat at 2 p.m. in the (I hope I got the rooms right) little room off to the side that isn't a subzero meat locker. I am going to host it with [livejournal.com profile] mlyn. Sadly, I don't have time to get source for Scrubs, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I do at least have a Rome disc I can bring with me. If anyone reading this is going, and you can bring any Scrubs at all, that would be great (looks longingly at [livejournal.com profile] gattagrigia ).

Bring your HLP and try to convince us!

Though, hopefully, I will still be going. Right now, I'm wondering. I heard a crash last night and got up to see what it was, and noticed Emma had just used her litterbox, and there was obvious blood in her urine. Usually she covers it so I can't see, but hadn't this time. She's barely moved off the couch since then, and isn't eating. I don't think it's related to her throwing up again last night, because she often seems fine after that. But she's clearly not herself, and I have to see if I can get her in, but what we'll find, and whether it can be addressed with me leaving in two days, is negligible. I am very worried, I guess because bad things seem to happen around Escapade for anyone I love. And I had a really freaksome dream last night after I'd gotten up, where this guy I used to know brought me a kitten, and I tried to introduce it to Emma and she bit it in half and ate it so fast I couldn't see what was happening. Then later she threw it up, as well as a sock toy. And believe it or not, that wasn't even the most disturbing part of the dream. Poor little orange and white kitten!

*hugs you* I'm sorry to hear about Emma's troubles.

(Also, if you have time, we could possibly arrange to meet in the next couple of days and I could loan you a Scrubs season? I have 1-4.)

here's hoping all is well with Emma! I'm thinking of you tons, and hope you have a good time at Escapade, I just wish I could be there too.

and I viewed the Big Eden vid and loved it - it's slow-paced but beautiful, and I am now even more intrigued by the movie than before. guess I really *do* need to watch it!

Sorry, just returned Scrubs S1 to Netflix this morning! But even more sorry about Emma - I hope you can get her looked at ASAP. Pounce ended up having emergency surgery for a blocked urethra when that happened to him - we noticed the problem because he left a pink stain on a cushion, and he was obviously miserable, altho he never complained. Hugs!

I would love to try to borrow a disc -- would you have any time tomorrow later in the day? I have to go to a doc's appt around 3, and could head up north if you were able to grab a few minutes, afterward. If not, it's not crucial -- there may not even be a dvd player in the room, I'm not sure, so it could mean it's just me talking. ;-)

Ah well -- I don't even know for sure if there's a dvd player in the room.

Emma peed again a little bit ago and it didn't look pink, but she's still not eating or moving around. I just don't know what to do, since it's such a trauma taking her to the doc. arg.

It seems like everyone I know is having kitty trauma recently. Some kind of horrid domino effect.

I'm so excited about Miracles pimpin'. I love your list of what was in the box.

Sends you kitty love.

(Miss Malificent peed outside the box this morning, too. I hope it was just normal cantankerousness.)

Poor Emma. I hope the doctor is able to figure out what's wrong with her.

Is Emma peeing peeing or just dribble peeing? When female cats get cystitis they don't block up like male cats do because their eurethra is wider. They continue to pee, sometimes tinged with blood, but usually less because they have the urge to pee all the time.

If that's it it's good news. Easily treatable with antibiotics and not life threatening like it is for males.

I hope that's it. :::hugs you::: :::pets Emma:::

Well, she peed this morning and it seemed like business as usual, but she's clearly not doing very well. She hasn't drunk any water at all for hours now, which is really unusual. She's been on antibiotics now for weeks because they thought she might have a small kidney infection, but it doesn't seem to have helped. Definitely worried now.

Oh, sweetie. Poor Emma, & poor you. I do hope she'll be all right, & Escapade will be fun for you. I'll be thinking of both of you.

It seems like everybody on my flist is having strange, vivid dreams. Maybe it's the time of year.

Oh, dear. All good thoughts for Emma.

(In a different vein, I think your HLP panel is a FABULOUS idea. Is it just same-sex HLPs?)
