Already miss the sunshine
Feb. 27th, 2007 04:28 pmEscapade was a pleasant diversion, but unfortunately even the wonderful sunshine we had through most of the weekend wasn't enough to stop me from worrying about Emma the whole time. Still, it was good to see some of my peeps again, and there was the usual "OMG we're doomed" moment before the vid show, and one snag just as we got to the penultimate vid of the show, but it otherwise went smoothly.
I really don't know if I'll have enough energy or desire to do a vid review. But I'll see how it goes. It was an interesting show in that a lot of people thought it was full of downer vids, which I didn't see at all, but it's an odd day when I'm the one with the only obvious happy ending vid in the show. As elynross put it, "You used to be so ... what's the opposite of sweet?" I was so ashamed. I'm making happy ending vids all over the place. What's next? Power ballads?
Emma did okay but not great while I was away, but today she had a terrible seizure and it was obvious she couldn't see for a while afterward. She seemed to recover enough to eat a treat and sit by me and purr, but now she's walking about, agitated, meowing in a loud and very different way, and she seems overly concerned about her litterbox, so I have a bad feeling something else is wrong. She's not eating except if I give her treats. I'm supposed to take her in tomorrow afternoon, but i fear it'll trigger something else, and if she has another seizure soon, I'll have to take her to the emergency vet. I was really afraid she was dying -- I've never had a pet who had seizures who didn't die right afterward. I don't really know what to do. I don't know that even the good vet knows what's going on with her.
