gwyn | The hour's getting late...

The BSG finale... crack city. But I have a theory about what it all means (and it doesn't involve the word shark).

See, at some point in our Earth history, NASA sent out one of those little Nomad-type space ships, and instead of recordings from like the head of the UN or greetings in 50 languages, they included their fave songs, and someone put a version of All Along the Watchtower in. And the probe got stuck in the Ioniblahblah nebula or whatever. Chief, Anders, Torie, and Col. Tigh all had badly done dental work that picked up the music. That's why no one else could hear it -- they went to a better dentist.

But lo! An angel was seen on high, and it was Starbuck, and she brought with her good tidings of great joy. And the colonists and the cylons found their way to Earth, sometime after Hendrix was making the scene and covering the tune. Their coming heralded a new era of sleek modern design, stainless-steel appliances, blue neon tubing as accent lighting, concrete bunker sleek minimalist housing, Farrah-hair, and teeny strappy sandals year-round, even in the rain or snow.

And today, we have much to thank them for.
