I need some Good Place icons
Dec. 9th, 2018 11:48 amOkay, so I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the Good Place episode Thursday night, because I'd thought they were done for the season like before, and we wouldn't get new episodes till January. And I absolutely loved it, and what a showcase for D'Arcy Carden, not to mention Ted Danson (and I was absolutely thrilled by having Stephen Merchant in there). But I have a serious question: and that is: If no one has got in to the Good Place in over 500 years, how did they arrive at putting my beloved Mindy St. Claire in the Medium Place? Both sides maintain that they couldn't decide about her so they split the difference, and the implication (or at least, our inference) is that she might have been able to get in to the Good Place. What does that mean?

Date: 2018-12-09 11:34 pm (UTC)I think it's pretty clear at this point that the whole system, and particularly the idea of points, is a lie. So I'm assuming that the story about how Mindy ended up in the Medium Place is probably untrue, and the story of Doug Forcett getting the reality of the afterlife 92% correct is either a lie, or the remaining 8% is really critical. I'm really, really curious who the person from 500 years ago who they say got into the Good Place was, if such a person exists.
But I'm particularly interested in Team Cockroach actually being in Fix Things In the Afterlife mode and what that means. So excited to see that.
