Someone asked Joss Whedon during a Q&A, "How is Steve Rogers not worthy?" Whedon's reply was, "Do we know that he couldn't lift the hammer? Or did he just stop?" So it was fun to see that bit of foreshadowing confirmed.

Thor's excited, "I knew it!" made me laugh and laugh.
