2.04 - It was cool to have an episode with Rachel so prominent, even if the situation itself was messy as hell. I had a lot of sympathy for Rachel wanting to stay away from that mess, even if it meant distancing herself from her family a bit. The interactions between Raylan and Rachel are lovely, as they always are. There's something wonderfully complementary about the two of them.

2.05 - A lot going on in this episode, but the thing I remember most (well, aside from Mags with the hammer) is how sincere Raylan was with Loretta, offering her an out if things go bad.

I thought that first scene with Raylan visiting the Bennetts was so well done. She's a master manipulator but he knew how to keep her off her footing. You know you're in for disaster when Doyle's the voice of reason.

Honestly Boyd's hair just gets more and more height in this season I love it.

There's a lot of moving parts to this episode -- the story with Rachel and her brother in law, the dixie mafia thing that also involves winona and her ex, Boyd and those idiots, the bennetts.

I love Raylan's scale for a bad guy -- head in a duffle bag or just an asshole. lol.

Surprise Chadwick! Aw man. Nice touch giving him this extra character bit with wanting to be a magician. We all have dreams!

Poor Orlando though. That's a tough job.

"You're getting old." "Not as old as you." "And you're a dick." LOL.

It's gross he gave his son the furby covered in blood wtf.

I absolutely loved the scene with the marshals all having a drink, decompressing after a really stressful day. Rachel's story about her family is touching and tragic, and also sadly common. And it's interesting to me that Tim and Raylan have similar difficult relationships to their father, sharing their morbid humor -- "At least you got to shoot your father." "You didn't miss much. I thought it was going to be way more fun than it was."

I completely agree about the dynamic between Raylan and Rachel. i love it just about as much as I love the dynamic between Tim and Raylan.

The actor who plays Dewey does such a great job, and he and Timothy Olyphant have just the right screwball chemistry. I'm amused that the actor is Australian.

Again, I am distracted by Boyd's hair in the next scene. All these idiots trying to rob the mine look like neanderthals.

That tasering scene is O.O.

I'm glad Boyd saved the mine manager guy and blew up the neanderthals.

The scene with the Bennetts is hard to watch. Not just the whole thing with the hammer which was bad enough but watching how twisted Mags is with her sons. It's weird to feel sympathy for them when they're all such terrible people.

Funny how the kids all scatter when Raylan shows up to talk to Loretta. "Five Oh!" lol. Always glad to see Loretta, and to see Raylan with her. I like their relationship.
