Date: 2020-05-12 09:25 pm (UTC)I feel like by this time, they had just given up on any pretense of looking like this took place in Kentucky and were almost flaunting the fact that it was filmed in California.
It's good to see that Art and Raylan are back to banter bickering, and that Art isn't letting it fester. I liked him resisting the booze but then giving in anyway. He is just the best. "Your papist daughter." OMG, that was brilliant.
The bad thing about Rachel running things is that she's not out in the field with Tim and Raylan. But I'm still so happy to have them out there, being sarcastic together and solving mysteries and blaming each other for bad decisions. Tim: "I believe that was in the Sermon on the Mount." A ha ha ha. And them talking about Dewey as a waterskiing mascot. I died.

Date: 2020-05-13 02:48 am (UTC)It also goes to show that Boyd is just done with everything/at the end of his rope/looking for a way out and not wanting to leave a loose end that could mess him up even more.
I remain uninterested in Ava. Which is a shame, because she had really become a significant player and now it feels like she's been busted back down to supporting.
It's always a good time when Raylan and Tim get to snark at each other, and then turn that snark around on other people. However, the second you see Garret Dillahunt you know there's some shit coming down the pike. The man specializes in playing polite menace.

Date: 2020-05-13 06:04 am (UTC)Rachel looks very comfortable in that seat. :D II am a simple girl. Anytime Tim and Raylan are on screen together I am happy.
Uh oh. Dillahunt. Deadwood reunion! Wheeee!
That is a very large truck they're driving. How do you tail anyone, even Dewey Crowe, in a big truck like that lol.
"Nice call, Gutterson." wheeeeee <3
ART. <3 <3
Bye bye, Dewey Crowe.
That shot of Boyd watching Ava sleep is a bit...creepy.
We see the start of this season tie in several character aspects from the first season -- namely with Raylan reminding Ava who she was and what she did to her ex, and Boyd going back to his bank robbing roots. Also in returning to a Raylan v Boyd dynamic.
