Summary:
It gave him such a saucy look that Bucky’s heart sped up. They’d be here for at least three more hours, and that was three hours plus the time it took to get home where he couldn’t touch Steve, kiss that eyebrow and his sly, plush mouth, run his hands along Steve’s peaches and cream skin. Work him into a lather and make him shudder and moan.
I have no idea why I keep writing baseball-centered stories, but apparently I like writing Steve making bad baseball sex double entendres, I don't even know.

Date: 2015-08-25 09:19 pm (UTC)ETA OK, I just had to edit this, because I loved it so much I wanted to give you some feedback and I always forget to log in to AO3. This was great! I loved all the period detail, the slang, the baseball information, the way Steve teases Bucky and is so impatient with Bucky's not wanting to hurt him, Bucky's elegiac thoughts at the end. It really does feel like a little bubble where the two of them are safe just for a moment, away from the Depression and the war(s), and I love stories like that. I love this series and hope you keep going with it.
(FWIW I didn't notice the echoing of "your/my Bucky" at all from the CW writeups -- Steve's teasing distracted me as well as Bucky! hah.)

Date: 2015-08-26 08:54 pm (UTC)But I appreciate the cheerleading--I actually started thinking of something set during the war, kind of based on one of the kiss prompts that I never filled but that I've thought a lot about--S/B regulations. I haven't figured out how to make it all work so I might have to jettison the prompt part, but it's definitely in my mind--especially because it could be fun for them to have a pickup game on Hampsted Heath and try to teach cricket-loving Monty and confused Jacques how to play, and then the guys wouldn't let Steve play *again* because now he's a supersoldier and they can't compete. And Bucky could still be dealing with his trauma, but trying to cope by holding on to something from home…I don't know.
And of course, I've already written a Winter Soldier recovery one in my head, but I'm feeling so down lately it's hard to find a way to put it on paper.

OH MY GOD IF YOU WRITE THAT I WILL, LIKE, BAKE COOKIES. I MEAN THEY'LL BE HARD AS VIBRANIUM AND PROBABLY INEDIBLE BUT BUT COOKIES. I WILL TRY.
A Winter Soldier baseball recovery fic?! Now that would be cool. It could help him bring his memories back, like the music? (Loved that one.)
I also just selfishly love period Stucky and there can never be enough of it for me, and I love how much you research it too.
