Vid show?

I was curious--did anyone go to the vid show at Escapade? This is the first year I sent in a vid when I wasn't attending, and I wondered how the vid I sent went over. I haven't heard a word from anyone who was there, so of course have no idea of the audience response, and it sort of disappeared into the ether, so I'm kind of afraid it bombed or something. Ugh.


I have to get myself motivated to vid for Club Vivid, now, too, when I don't really feel like it. I can't believe it's March already and I haven't even started, yikes.

I liked this vid show more than I've liked many others. Your vid was well received. The show had a nice mix of drama, comedy, good fun, and crack.

Thank you--I was afraid silence=terrible, and I very rarely have sent vids to cons where I wasn't there to have my neurotic vidder freak response. :-D

I loved your vid! It was one of my favorites of the vid show this year. I was in the Annex room and it was actually quiet for your vid. I loved the song choice and how you integrated the trailers into the vid. Other people were speaking positively about your vid too, so it wasn't just me that enjoyed it. Thanks for sending it to Escapade!

P.S. There were a few whimpers of "Bucky!" during the vid...now that I think about it.

Heee--okay, that's a relief, I just sort of watched it fade away so fast and I figured the face that I hadn't heard anything meant it was a total bomb. I'm so glad you got the chance to enjoy the whole show--that's the thing I definitely missed most about not being there, and talking Stucky with everyone.

I suspect people are still returning from the convention and catching up on real life matters. My flight was 2 hours late, so I had plenty of time to catch up on my emails and leave feedback. That doesn't always happen.

In any case, from the mood of the room I could tell people liked it. :) My friend and I watched the Winter Soldier in preparation for Civil War, which I hope is good.

I was there! In the main (quiet) room. Oh god people loved it. And late in the vid, when there's the lyric "I let my true love die" and Steve says "...Bucky", I heard all kinds of SOUND in the audience. Guh.

Also, man did you make that trailer footage look good. Shoshanna and I were talking about how it felt like Civil War was already out because the footage blended in so seamlessly.

Oh, thank you so much for letting me know. I really was thinking that if it faded that quickly and I hadn't heard anything, it meant massive failure. Yeah, I had to get the vid to Jo, and it was superb owl sunday, but the new footage came out and I was panicking and flailing. My friend downloaded it for me (I can't seem to get YT video to DL again) and I cut it in as fast as I could and sent it off to her that evening. I felt like I was working in an old timey newsroom or something, trying to edit new film as fast as I could and get it on air. :-D

I really missed seeing you. It was really hard not going.
