There was, wasn't there? Something besides Spike?

I'm not convinced, although I liked Spike's bit about how he felt about Buffy, and I adored seeing the Mayor again. However, I started taking notes trying to figure out the whole night and day thing, because it felt like we went across about three days from start to finish, very erratically, with it being night at the house, day at the monastery, then suddenly! night again! What is the First waiting for?

I think the First is waiting for that end of the series episode and it's just been hanging around idly goofing off until then. Really, I still think they played their hand way too early in the game, and it's all just biding time until the end. Instead of doing some lesser buildup and standalones, they went in so quickly with the big bad that all the First could do was sit around cooling its heels. Dullsville. Oh well. I guess that means time stands still in Sunnydale!

Yeah, I think you're right. Sigh. I hate it when shows make me remember that they aren't real. *g*
