I'm sitting here working on my job search stuff and the TV's on in the living room. TiVo is catching Sharon Osbourne for me because my darling Billy Boyd is on. The girls in the audience are screaming as if they're in a time warp watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I'm so embarassed for my people.

I'm not a big Hobbit fan in the way it seems most folks are, and I'm very definitely not into the Lotrps thing at all. I don't have cute nicknames for any of them. But I've come to adore Billy, out of all of them, for reasons I'm not totally clear on other than that he has a kind of humor and joie de vivre that I like. But this... this screaming, teenage fanclub thing... makes me want to not admit to this in any way, shape, or form. ::shudders::

And listening to him sing a Britney Spears song is just really, really not how I wanted to see him. I'm actually looking forward to Viggo's mumbling and cryptic replies for all the Hidalgo publicity. ;-)

Viggo mumble? You mean, you can actually focus enough on words when he's on the screen? You're doing better than me because conscious and coherent thought goes out the door when I see him.

Seriously, now -- (oops unauthorized dash?) -- I prefer to think of it as punk Zen, LA style mantras!

HEY! LJ ate my post in which I said "Viggo crytic." I prefer to think of it as LA-Punk-Zen. Besides, it's not my brain that's engaged when I look at him. Damn! The man is too gorgeous; in fact, more handsome in a rather conventional way than my usual taste in men. But he makes up for it in being quirky in lots of other ways.
Besides, he cleans up so well -- who cares what he says? (Is that an ungrammatical use of the dash?) If so, forgive me, Oh Teacher of Grammar!
