New Finn Brothers album out today!!!

klia, feochadn -- new Finn Brothers! I hadn't planned on buying anything new CD-wise for a while, but I make an exception for anything Finnish. The song I heard on new music Tuesday show was really nice, bore traces of both Neil and Tim's styles. I hadn't even known they were working on anything, but the woman who does the new music show was cracking me up by talking about how people just spazz out whenever anything happens with either of the Finns. (They are going to be in town end of July, btw.) She included herself in that group, of course -- how could anyone with taste *not*?

ETA -- not such a frabjous day after all. Apparently the station neglected to say it was a single. I can't find any other release date for the album from either Billboard or Nettwerk than end of August. Stupid station. Grrrrr.

I'm all "do I just stop at Silver Platters on the way home?" or go online? I can't decide how long to wait -- definitely not long enough to try to DL off iTunes if it's even there. Now if I had a high-speed connection...

I don't suppose you know that title of the album? I did a search for Finn albums on Amazon, but they didn't list anything new. I'll probably check iTunes when I get home, though.

I don't know for sure -- according to Billboard, it's called Everyone is Here, and it's set for "late August." But they played it on the new music show this morning on the local radio, and they didn't say it was just a single (if it is just a single, damn them to hell for taunting me). But they also haven't updated their web site info, either. So now I'm bewildered and the fan sites are remarkably out of date.

Damn. I can't find any other release date than end of August. That means they lied! Everything else they played today (PJ Harvey, Cowboy Junkies, Bebel Gilberto, etc.) were albums, but apparently not Finns. I'm sending mental letter bombs right now.

Thanks for the alert! God, radio stations do that all the time. They play tracks far in advance of the album's release, and drive the fans nuts!

They're playing in Seattle on 7/10, and SF 7/13! Woo! But I couldn't find a release date for the album. Hmm...

Gah, the Finn Brothers are going to be touring in our neck of the woods - Fri, July 9 in Vancouver and Sat, July 10 in Seattle - wanna go to one of these shows?? I heart them madly and have seen the brothers in concert as Split Enz and Crowded House, but never on their own.
