I almost forgot it was time to post my Christmas music grab-bag this year! Oy vey. These are just a small handful of things randomly selected from my rather insane collection of holiday tunage, which seems to grow ever larger thanks to Amazon's free daily DLs and the lunatunes LJ comm. It's getting almost unlistenable in that it takes so many days to get through the music, I can't listen to it all before the hols. (And when I say grab-bag, be aware that this is a mix of mp4s and mp3s.)

ETA: I've tested the DLs and for some reason, I keep getting an .html extension on the songs. Can someone explain to me why that happens? If I just delete the .html, it accepts it as an .m4a or .mp3 just fine, but I don't understand why, when I put in the exact URL that should work, it won't DL correctly. I'm not very good with this short of crap, obviously. This has happened to me consistently of late with stuff on my vids site, and I don't understand it.

Let us not speak of Yuletide and stories. I am at the point of just running around and screaming. I am freaking the fuck out, y'all.

Someone on my flist was mourning the demise of SGU and cursing SyFy and I was going to comment about how it's was someone else's fault that SGU tanked...and then I realized, it's nearing Christmas and you don't need bad feelings during this time.

You could always put the songs on box.net which has free storage space and is perfect for making music downloadable to your flist. (They can even play it on the site if they don't want to download it and they don't even need a box account.)

I can't figure out what's wrong, but they're DLing as html files -- if you DL it, you can just delete the .html and it should work, but I don't know. This is happening lately on my vids site and it's pissing me the hell off.

I have no idea what's going on, but you should be able to DL them -- they keep coming in with an .html extension, but if you just delete that, you should get the music file. This keeps happening with my vids site lately, ever since they changed the interface, and I don't understand html enough to figure out why it keeps doing this.

Looks like the links work fine if you do right click+save on them; I have no ideal why they're coming up with the HTML extension, though.
