I need to purge stuff, and now that I'm able to copy over many of my old tapes to disc for preservation, I have tapes of some shows that are unlikely to come out on DVD (though I never give up hope). I'm not sure if anyone would want these, but if you do, they can be yours for the cost of postage and packaging. I'll update as I get through more copying. E-mail me at gwynethr at gmail dot com if you're interested and we can figure out details. (I can take PayPal, but only if you have a verified account; I can't do credit cards.)

Now and Again, complete series of 22 episodes from first airings on CBS. These are second gen but 2-hour speed, and one ep has a tornado warning running through it so it's difficult for vidding use, but they are in great condition. Eric Close, Margaret Colin, and Dennis Haysbert in one of the best series ever on television.

Brimstone, all episodes, some from first airing on Fox but most from Sci-Fi channel airings. First gen. John Glover plays Satan!

Four episodes of MDs, shortlived ABC series with John Hannah and William Fichtner. I also have two eps on a web file, I think it's an avi, on disc that may be copyable.

Keen Eddie, original airings off Fox of six episodes on VHS, and all 13 episodes from Bravo airings on S-VHS. The DVD box set has replaced most of the fantastic incidental music on the series to avoid licensing fees, and these eps are the only way to see them with the original music.

Various Professionals related things, or Martin Shaw movies such as Investigation, Intrigue, Ladder of Swords, etc. (all second or third gen, alas). I also have the TV special Without Walls: C4PD The Professionals, first gen, translated from PAL by a professional video company so the quality is excellent.

In the I really doubt anyone's crazy enough to want these dept., I have the first three seasons of La Femme Nikita on DVD now, but can offer original off-airs from first USA-channel showings, all 2-hour speed, with promos and such.

ETA: Wow, I so wasn't expecting so many folks to be interested. For all the folks interested in Pros stuff, it looks like some may or may not be taken; I'm waiting to hear back and see what people are interested in. I will know more later, I hope.

I think I can safely send off the N&A eps, but I realize I don't know your email address anymore (I think you changed it, right?), or at least which is the best address to reach you at. I need your snail address for sending, and then I can tell you how much postage is after I go to the P.O.

O cruel world. There wasn't a strike-through when I made my comment, but I guess the post wouldn't update itself just because someone emailed you.

Copies would be awesome, thank you kindly. Does that mean I can get Now & Again copies, too? ;)

That might be a bit more challenging. It's taken me quite a few days to copy these to disc. But if you want to take on the copying discs project... 22 hours is just a lot to deal with for making multiple sets. It might be worth it to see if we can find someone who could make these into .avis and they could be distributed for people on the net... I don't know this kind of tech, though, but I imagine there are tons of people who might jump at the chance to DL a torrent or something.

I was mostly kidding about the N&A set, so don't worry about it. I'd rather finish watching the series with you, anyway. Maybe someone else will step in and offer to help with .avis.

I'm not crazy enough to want all three seasons, but how about the first season only of LFN? I've never seen any of it, and I'm not motivated to buy a series that I only know a bit about. And I don't belong to Netflix. But it is on my list of hows to watch (i.e. shows I would have enjoyed the first time around if I had had cable then).

First season is fantastic -- I'm missing two eps that I initially didn't tape because I didn't like the one (though that proved to be a mistake when I started vidding it) and the other was never repeated. I don't think you miss much with the one; Recruit, though, is a pretty strong ep. I think it's like 11 or 12 tapes. Send me your snail mail address (gwynethr at gmail dot com) and I can arrange to get them together, if you still are interested. I think it's an incredible show, but I've tried for years to pimp it and never had many takers.
