I had so much fun with the movie lines yesterday, I want to do it again, but I have a very busy and very sad day ahead of me (today is the first of my two lovely, wonderful, special co-workers departing dates, and I can't believe I'm not going to be working with them anymore), so definitely can't pick more today. Like I could pick 15 favorite movies. Hah.

But it looks like no one is going to get those remaining two, so here the answers are:
4. Oh, if only that were true.
Big Eden (honestly, I'm ashamed of [livejournal.com profile] movies_michelle and [livejournal.com profile] feochadn, because they were in the theatre with me the first time we went to see it, and they well know how I nearly peed my pants laughing at that, and how I just could. not. stop. laughing. Shame on you, grrrls.)

15. Whose baby?
Local Hero. Best, funniest, most wonderfullest two-word setup in the history of film.

OMG I cannot believe I didn't notice #15.

Local Hero is quite possibly my favorite movie of all time; I have seen it more often than I could count, and I adore it. (More than one friend has seen the film with me, nodded sagely, and said "you make so much more sense now!" *g*)

[livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl wrote me the most wonderful Yuletide story about Mac. I might have to go reread that now. :-)

It is sublime. It's the kind of movie thousands have aspired to be, and will never be. It's bittersweet and touching and funny and exciting and it just never stops being wonderful no matter how often you see it.

Mac fic! I would never have expected that.

Argh! It was so very, very familiar, and I knew that I knew it, but I couldn't place it. I could hear the inflection and everything, but not the context! I hate when I do that.

I have trouble identifying movie quotes without context anyway, but those seemed really hard. I mean, I know that's your favorite line from Big Eden, but I didn't get it anyway!

/whine. I'm just cranky nobody is commenting on my Mambo Kings posts.

Given how many times I watched Big Eden while working on Yuletide last year, I am deeply ashamed that I missed that one.
