The thing about being afraid of surgery is that it's one of those inevitable things that it seems everyone has to go through at some point or another, minor or major, or even by choice, as with people who get that laser eye surgery or plastic surgery. And yet! I am still a freaked out coward! There's something about not being able to get up and around of your own volition, of being hooked up to tubes and catheters (shudder) and such, that gives me the wiggins, rather than the actual cutting itself.
