Charlie Jade actor alert

Last week in the previews for Life, they showed Jeffrey Pierce (Charlie's actor) in a couple of clips, so it looks like he will be in tonight's episode. And he was in Journeyman last week, looking mighty hot as a DB Cooper-type character. He's not listed as being a guest star by TiVo on Life tonight, but I slo-mo'd through the preview a couple times and that was definitely him.

Damn, I wish they'd give him a show. He's a) hot and b) good (although for some people who only saw him on The Nine, pretty scary as a bad guy), and I wish there was a way to see more of him than just one small thing.

I've got to ask... where are you getting episodes of Charlie Jade? I've been interested in checking it out, but haven't been able to find it online... and I'm not sure I want to buy the DVDs (when they come out in the UK) without knowing whether I'll even like it.

I bought the DVDs from Japan when they came out this past spring. So far, Japan is the only country that has put it on disc, and that includes the producing countries, Canada and South Africa. Asshat bastards. If they would release it in Canada, it would make it a lot easier to pimp to general audiences in N. America.

Jo, who made the vid with me, has been making dvds available upon request (I can give you her email if you want, or it might be a good excuse to get together if you felt inclined), and she also put them up on I think it's called Demonoid. I don't do DLing stuff so I'm not sure how to tell you to find it. But for me that was part of what made it worth spending the bucks on for the Japanese discs -- being able to give back to fandom by making it available, when I usually take so much.

Also, I would be happy to show it to you if you're interested. I have a multiregion player and all, and there are 20 eps all totalled, and if you were up for a few get-togethers, we could watch it. I never get tired of seeing it.

It is *very* hard to go from watching him in The Nine to Charlie Jade because he was soooo creepy/evil in The Nine. So I can see how if one hasn't seen CJ, it would be hard to take the mental leap to leading man status for him, though I agree he could do it. Hopefully all these one-shots lately will get his face out there for people casting next year's pilots. He was great in Journeyman and at last not in a 100% bad role in the US, so I have some hope.
