OMG Yuletide's almost here! (but not yet)

And so is Santa!

I got the suitcases out to start packing after a day of running an absurd amount of errands (ha, I typed errors first) (why the frak is everyone closed at noon today? Dude, it's a one-day holiday!). The kitties both got really upset. Blues is especially sulky, almost afraid. I think they'd probably rather I got the vacuum out.

It's been weird not having a tree this year. Even when I was in San Diego at holiday time taking care of sis_r, I still put a tree up. But it just didn't seem worth it when I was going to be gone so long. It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all, and I've always loved decorating and feeling Christmassy, heathen that I actually am.

But I just now took a small break in the busyness to watch Band of Brothers, Crossroads, and some of the extra materials (there are really not enough). My GOD I love that series.

ETA: Hey, remember that fabulous video I posted here a few weeks ago with the guy who has synchronized lights to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas thing? He's got one for Blue Christmas, too. AWEsome.

Spike is showing BoB most of the day Saturday, and I plan to plop down on my sofa with some tea and munchies and just indulge. Ahhhhhh.

I am going to confess now, since I know I have to give up. I was working on a treat for you that wasn't on your prompt list, but I simply ran out of time. However! That doesn't mean I have put it aside for good. *g*
