New vid for FLPR

So, when the Fandom Loves Puerto Rico auction was going on, minim_calibre asked me if I'd do a NOTP vid if she bid on me, and I said, Sure, why not, I'm always up for a challenge. She kept thinking of this Fall Out Boy song after seeing Civil War, I guess, and how perfect it'd be for Tony's messed-up feelings about Daddy and Steve.

Despite not being into the (MCU version of the) ship and not being a fan of the band, I ended up having a hell of a good time making this. I laughed and laughed at how ridiculously Extra Tony is, every time I put in a clip, and once I got into the rhythms of the song, it grew on me. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much I ended up enjoying it.

I sent it to Escapade as a premiere, but to be honest, I'm tired of sitting on it, since I need to get these auction items done and up--it's ridic how long it's taken me to complete them. I wish I could see it at the vid show, though. (A high-quality DL will be available soonish at my vids site.)

It's very enjoyable! I'm not into the band and this is one of my biggest NOTPs, but still very fun to watch!

(It's possible my not shipping them also makes this feel like it's very one-sided on Tony's part... :D )

No, it's definitely one-sided, or at least, that's how I think both min and I thought of it. The way fucking Joss set up their relationship in Avengers would kind of necessitate that.

Very well done! I don't ship them, either, but I enjoy the way you framed this as Tony always coming in last with Steve behind the Bucky of it all (and Howard and Peggy and Sam and and and). Nicely done.

Yeah, I was kind of dubious when min asked me about it, but once she explained her thesis, I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of buy-in I could make! I'm really glad to hear it worked for you, thank you!

When min first told me about this crackvid she wanted, I burst out laughing. I also didn't think she'd ever find anyone to make it. This was wonderful!

I kept asking her over and over, "Now, why do you want me to vid your NOTP again? Why would you want to spend money to have someone do that?" I'm really glad it all worked out with the auction and everything, and that I got to participate in making her crack visions come to life. :-D

Whew. My NOTP, too, but I enjoyed this vid very much! I like the song, I like how the rhythm of it matches the clips you chose, and I love how constipated Tony ends up looking throughout much of this video. Nice work!

I think there ended up being something really freeing about working with something I'm not into--that happened once before with a vid I made for Gaius Baltar in BSG, whom I loathe. You end up making something good despite how you feel about the subjct because you're looking at it with different eyes. I'm really glad you were able to enjoy it. (Constipated, ha!)
