Date: 2019-02-09 10:16 pm (UTC)In other news, I too am not remotely emotionally or sexually jealous regarding my SO, and also believe it’s possible to love more than one person at a time. A) High five, sister across the sea! B) I wonder if those two things go hand in hand. Like if you’re not jealous it’s easier to see love as a non-zero sum game and to recognise that we meet a looooooot of people and expecting only one to be The One is a bit bonkers. My working principle: love is not finite, but time and effort are, and it’s the second part where it all falls down. (And don’t get me started on the whole concept of Finders Keepers. Yes, yes, cultural monogamy, whatever. 🙄 )
