Am I the only one just about peeing her pants in anticipation of Legion opening on the 22nd? Since I first saw the trailer, what seems like five years ago, I've just been giddy with anticipation about this and now it's so close and yet so far. Paul Bettany just looks so hot, and it's like some sort of casting squee-fest for me with all the folks in it. Plus, it looks like it could be really creepy-scary, and as someone who never gets a good scare at scary movies, I really, really want this.

In short, terrifying, world-ending angels for the win.

To be honest, I'd forgotten all about it, so thanks for the reminder!

I'm pretty much with you on that one.

I first heard about it when my SO told me he'd watched this really crappy trailer for this apocalyptic angel movie. Out of curiousity, I sought it out, and went back to him practically screaming: "Did you realize that was Paul Bettany! Playing an angel! With guns!" He quickly realized the error of his ways. (Or at least he's realized that it's pretty much custom-made to be loved by me.)

I KNOW RIGHT? An angel!! With GUNS!!! (NOt to mention a pretty nice washboard tummy there.) I think this one's gonna be right up there with Equilibrium, don't you?

The Equilibrium comparison is perfect. In the end, who cares if it's a crack-addled concept, as long as there's plenty of the pretty. And I have to say, the posters of Bettany's shirtless torso festooning the bus shelters in our neighbourhood are plenty pretty.

I have to say that we, the Vegas Fen howled with laughter throughout that trailer and made SPN jokes.

We still plan to see it, though.

Oh you guys -- it's not for laughing AT, it's for laughing WITH. I cannot wait myself. It's like they made it for ME.

You're so not the only one. I can barely believe they made something so perfect.

I'm really looking forward to it too. I'm waiting for 'Book of Eli' and 'The Road', too. This new year is an apocalypse whore's dream.

I saw your post on apocalypse stuff on History channel and somehow I managed to miss all that. Is it all over with? Are they going to show the thing with Rudy again? What was it called? I love me some apocalypsey stuff, I'll tell you whut.

the one with Rudy was called Apocalypse Man. I'm sure it'll play again. It's alreay played several times this week. I haven't checked yet but I was hoping it would be a series of shows because they only covered a fraction of information that would be helpful.
