I was having a hard enough time coping with the news of the death of Lewis Collins on Thursday, but then to hear the news about Paul Walker dying in a car crash is almost too much to bear.

For a lot of years, I lived, breathed, ate, and slept The Fast and the Furious. When they got the band back together for the fourth movie, I was happier than I had been in years and years. These movies were everything to me. And in the early days, I was one of the few people making fannish vids for the first movie, so I spent a lot of time with Brian O'Conner, memorizing scenes, clipping, working with his image. I always thought he gave the movies heart.

He seemed like such a nice guy, and he was so excited about the eighth movie being greenlit. I am so so sad.

Agreed. Whenever I come across a report or a tweet that mentions his death, I get this clenched feeling in the chest. Brian was the reason I loved the movies. Not the cars or the heists, Brian's relationship with Dom. I know it's shallow to think of a movie when a man is dead but it's his legacy :(

And when Lewis Collins died! Man. I know that he wasn't acting anymore but I loved him as Bodie. Bodie and Doyle were my first OTP :(

Oh God I'm just sick. The success of the franchise really meant a lot to me; it seemed like a triumph of the people over Hollywood stupidity, of the way that things ought to be. I'm so sad.

I was just stunned to hear it. Not only did I have massive love for the F&F series, but I'd seen a lot of his other movies and enjoyed them.

There's that first, slow motion shot if him in Pleasantville where he turns and smiles that was so breathtaking, but all the better because of the personality in his eyes.
