Hah, you got into it faster than I did; I knew therienne loved it and was willing to give it a shot, but the first few eps I caught were SO bizarre, and nothing really worked for me -- I was sitting there wondering what on earth I was supposed to be enjoying. Then something in my brain ticked over, and I fell so hard. I've been sort of at sea for the last couple of seasons, too (although this last season was better than the previous one), but I just go along for the ride, because this is just such a wonderfully fucked-up show.

I was a little put off early on when they started focusing more on secondary characters (I get very attached to the characters I'm watching for), but I repent me that annoyance, because man, I love how they've widened the universe out, and how all these different characters have their own storylines. Even if I don't always care about the characters themselves (like, say, Dermot. Oy. But if Dermot is the price for 21 and poor 24, and Al, I'll take him.)

My favorite moment is probably still when The Monarch was telling someone about how he met a woman on "the LiveJournal" and that she told him he was "teh-heh sex, whatever that means."

I've watched a lot of other Adult Swim shows, and none of them have really caught my fancy the way Venture Bros. does.

Same here; I'm not a huge cartoon person anyway (usually I get dragged in by therienne), and most of the other Adult Swim stuff just doesn't do it for me. But VB, man. <3

How can you not love a show where the Christmas special involves ridiculous boys summoning Krampus, who -- okay I can't actually type up the rest of that because I'm at work. But, yeah. ♥
