As much of an introvert as I am, I don't get fans who don't want to participate with other fans. There's a disconnect for me--I mean, I understand that lurker culture, but at the same time, it seems like we've moved to a completely nonparticipatory mode except for a few BNFs in any given fandom who generate all the reblogs/retweets, recs, asks, etc. The rest of us are just out there in the wind, listening to it whistle by us.
